PERE GUSSINYÉ GIRONELLA (Olot, Girona, 1890 - 1980).

Measurements: 50 x 60 cm; 70 x 80 cm (frame).
Pere Gussinyé began his training at the School of Fine Arts of Olot, where he was a disciple of Josep Berga i Boix. Later he completed his studies with the painter Ignasi Mallol and at the Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc, in Barcelona. Apart from his participation in the National Exhibitions of Madrid and Barcelona, as well as in other international exhibitions in which he was awarded several times, Gussinyé exhibited periodically in the Sala Gaspar in Barcelona, in Olot, Valencia, Madrid and other Spanish cities. He was awarded prizes in the Madrid Autumn Salons of 1943 and 1946 and in the National Salon of Barcelona in 1944. That same year he was awarded the Painting Prize of the Ministry of National Education.
