We see in this canvas a coastal landscape of colonial context judging by the buildings that are observed in the distance. It combines two of the most appreciated themes in the 19th century, the costumbrismo and the landscape. The composition is dynamic, although perfectly balanced, with accentuated changes of color in an atmosphere that veers between green, blue and orange tones.
