Francesc Casademont i Mercader trained in Barcelona, where he has had several solo exhibitions in galleries such as Kreisler and La Pinacoteca. His work does not seek sensationalism; he structures a slow, static and measured diction, which takes pleasure in the infinite nuances of colour or in the veiled atmosphere of fog. His work arises from the simple contemplation of life, and reflects an iridescent nature, marked by points or moments of light that harmonise the chromaticism of the scene.
