This painting suggests a symbolic architecture. It is part of a series of works by the author that refer us to the essential geometry of a city: urban profiles or skylines, cities from a bird's eye view, hidden little streets, etc. The vertical and horizontal lines play with perception, generating the illusion of volume and folds.

Trained in drawing and painting, Julio Sendino has had many collective and individual exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. He has been awarded numerous prizes, such as the Castilla y León Regional Prize in the CirculArt 2021 National Plastic Arts Competition, the Salón de Otoño de Valladolid 2019, the San Pedro Regalado de Valladolid Speed Painting Competition 2016, drawing category, and the Honorable Mention in the Primero de Fariña de Toro National Painting Competition (Zamora) 2019, and selections, as in the Painting Contest Province of Valladolid 2022 and 2023, the Sarmiento Painting Award 2022 of La Seca and the Painting Contest ACOR Castilla y León 2012. In 2021 and 2022 he painted the Mural of the Performing Arts at the Casa de las Artes in Laguna de Duero (Valladolid). In 2019 he inaugurated the Mural of the Valdemonjas Winery in Quintanilla de Arriba (Valladolid) made with the encaustic technique. Also in that same year he showed his most recent work at the Rafael Art Gallery in Valladolid. Part of his work can be found in institutions such as the Fundación Municipal de Cultura de Valladolid, the Diputación de Valladolid, the Artkomas Art Center of Kaunas (Lithuania), the European Recycling Platform Spain and in private collections.
