CARME GAROLERA (Mataró, 1955).

Measurements: 43 x 32 cm; 57 x 45 cm (frame).
Carme Garolera was born in 1955 in Mataró, but chose to establish her residence in Barcelona. Trained at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona, she currently teaches Artistic Drawing and Color at the Pau Gargallo School in Badalona (Barcelona). Influenced by Catalan informalism, Garolera structures her language between abstraction and figuration and creates a discourse where her floral universe, full of nuances and suggestions, conveys the ephemeral nature of life and the very essence of creation. His work, well structured from the lines and the stroke, is of an exquisite sensitivity and knows how to express the beauty of nature through color and shapes. Garolera does not copy but creates the equivalent of what she feels when she observes her particular herbarium. Carme Garolera has a long experience, both in solo and group exhibitions, and her work is permanently exhibited at the Musée d'Art Modern et Contemporain in Geneva, in the Testimonio 2003 Collection of the Fundació La Caixa, in the United Nations Art Fund and in the Serie Oro collection of the NH Hoteles chain.
