DESCRIPTION
JOAQUIN VANCELLS (Barcelona, 1907 - 1950).

Signed in the lower right corner.
Measurements: 31 x 46 cm; 50 x 65 cm (frame).
Landscape painter active during the first half of the 20th century, Joan Vancells developed a language of impressionist heritage. He became known through competitions such as the First Saló dels Independents Terrassencs in 1934, and also held solo exhibitions. After his death, in 1960, the Sala Rovira dedicated an exhibition to his work. He is currently represented in several private collections.
