Estartús studied Fine Arts, Architecture and Medicine, graduating in 1974 and receiving his doctorate in 1977. That same year he held his first exhibition, at the Population Service Europe in Amsterdam. At first he specialized in Gynecology, a profession that allowed him to live to paint and not the other way around, keeping his work free from the pressures of the market. Since the late eighties she has exhibited her work in such prestigious art galleries as Dau al Set, Greca and Víctor i Fills. He has also held solo exhibitions abroad, at the Casal Català in Guayaquil (Ecuador), galleries in Florida, Milan, Florence and Bolzano (Italy), and at the Florida Museum of Hispanic and Latin American Art in Florida. Estartús has recently exhibited at the National Library, which has incorporated his work into its permanent collection of contemporary art. He is also represented at the Museo del Dibujo Castillo de Larrés, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Requena, Florencio de la Fuente in Cuenca, José Miguel Arce in Burgos and López Berrón in Ávila, the C.A.C. in Málaga, the Fundación Álvaro Mutis in Madrid and the collections of Galería Antiquaria and Subastas Siglo XXI.
