Soraya Kerdjani studied painting in Algiers. The influence of architecture in her pictorial work is of utmost importance and shapes her style in different ways, depending on the city, the space and the atmosphere in which she is surrounded. He has developed his work in Paris, Tunis, London, Algiers and Barcelona. She highlights the hallmarks between light, line and form, being interested in the fusion of both disciplines. She was selected for the Times Square project in New York sponsored by ARTISTS WANTED. In 2005, she worked with the Spanish painter and printmaker José Hernández and with the French artist Yvan Fayard for the Mural Painting Workshop in 2006. Among his solo exhibitions we highlight those held at the Mutual Art Center (Barcelona, 2013); aDa gallery (Barcelona, 2012); L'Escale gallery in Sèvres (2002). He has participated in numerous collective exhibitions: ART TOMA Times Square; Crisolart Art Gallery, both in 2012 in New York; at the Cultural Center of Algeria, and at the 59 Rivoli gallery, both in Paris, 2011; Boufedi gallery, Algiers, 2010. Vectors, graphics and beams of directional lines pierce the monochrome backgrounds that make up Kerdjani's paintings. The strength of his plastic language lies in the dialectic created between these uniform chromatic surfaces and the dynamic structures that destabilize this harmony, structures inspired by urban environments crossed by multiple perspectives.
