PARSCHA MIRGHAWAMEDDIN (Germany, 1979).
"Abstract N 1201," 2019.

In "Abstract N 1201" (2019), the German artist Parscha Mirghawameddin masterfully deploys his characteristic visual language, where impulsive pictorial gesture and rigorous compositional awareness converge. This work, executed in large format, is fully inscribed in the tradition of abstract expressionism, but does so with a contemporary aesthetic deeply marked by the immediacy and intensity of urban art.
The surface of the canvas is articulated by a series of violent brushstrokes in deep black and green tones, which contrast with vibrant yellow accents and areas of white emptiness that act as visual pauses within the pictorial field. The pictorial matter has been applied with energy and determination, generating a dynamic composition in which the stroke becomes the absolute protagonist, freed from any figurative reference.
The circular movements and curved lines that cross the painting in yellow function as axes of tension and balance, directing the viewer's gaze in an incessant journey across the surface. This controlled gesturality refers to the automatism of action painting, but also to a certain will of internal architecture that sustains the apparent chaos. The chromatic palette, reduced but intense, emphasizes the emotional charge of the piece, evoking sensations of force, friction and vitality.
In this work, Mirghawameddin not only asserts himself as a contemporary heir to the abstract languages of the 20th century, but also reinterprets them from an urban sensibility, where the pictorial gesture is also a form of writing of the body, of the instant and of emotional memory. "Abstract N 1201.
