"Still, because even in the midst of chaos, the fragile resists. A simple heartbeat, a breath of air, a heart that refuses to sink. Still, because all is not lost, because there is something that always remains standing, even if everything else collapses".
Fer's work is articulated around contrast: the sacred and the everyday, the strength of the classical body versus inner fragility, tragedy and hope coexisting on the same plane. Contemporary angels, symbol-hearts, arrows, balloons and elements suspended in time configure an imaginary where emotional introspection and visual drama coexist with modern gestures.
He works mainly in shades of gray, reserving intense colors -reds, electric blues, vibrant yellows- as emotional triggers that break the chromatic silence and mark the narrative pulse of each piece. The chiaroscuro, the precision of the line and the anatomical care -direct inheritance of his experience as a tattoo artist- are essential features of his style.
Trained at the School of Arts and Crafts of Cordoba, Fer is a creator who has made drawing and painting a natural territory since childhood. His career began in the field of pastel portraiture, a stage in which he held his first solo exhibition in Distrito, where he presented fifteen surrealist works that sold out.
With more than fifteen years of professional experience in tattooing, he now runs his own studio -Fertattoo- in the heart of Cordoba, without ever ceasing to develop his pictorial work. Throughout these years he has produced numerous commissioned works, especially within abstract impressionism, and has consolidated a personal language that fuses classical figuration, contemporary symbolism and a marked emotional atmosphere. His training with the master Manuel Castillero was a decisive impulse in the technical refinement and in the construction of his visual narrative.
