Painting by Claus Bertermann, made in 2025 within his recognized abstract line of large format. The composition is built by successive layers, Repainting and glazes, where color operates as a structure, generating depth, tension and spatial balance.

The pictorial surface reveals a physical and cumulative process, characteristic of the artist's practice, in which each intervention modifies and rearranges the whole until reaching a contained and precise resolution.

Contemporary German painter ascribed to the field of abstract expressionism, whose artistic practice is characterized by a strong material and processual dimension. Initially trained as an architect at the Technische Universität München (1988-1993), he developed a professional career in this field before turning fully towards artistic creation, a decision he consolidated at a relatively late stage of his career.

Since his full dedication to art, he has developed a production of international scope, with exhibitions and presence in private collections. Highlights include his solo exhibition in 2019 at the BBVA exhibition space in Oviedo and the donation in 2024 of a large triptych to the Technische Universität München.
