In “Cathedral,” Abraham Pinto transforms religious architecture into a dynamic and expressive composition. The work presents a monumental view of the cathedral, constructed through towers, arches, and volumes that rise from a central circular core. The predominance of ochres, earth tones, blacks, and whites, together with the overlapping of lines and strokes, creates a sense of movement and depth. The architecture ceases to be a strictly realistic representation and takes on a symbolic dimension.
Abraham Pinto’s painting is distinguished by his ability to capture the essence of a place through confident brushwork and a unique interpretation of light. His landscapes and architectural works combine tradition and modernity, transforming everyday scenes into compositions of great atmospheric power.
Essentially self-taught, Abraham Pinto rounded out his training through studies and courses in oil painting, drawing, and mixed media. Throughout his career, he has explored various disciplines related to the visual arts, including illustration, silkscreen printing, design, mural painting, and, especially, oil painting. This diversity of experiences has contributed to the development of a personal artistic language characterized by a solid technical foundation and a special sensitivity to light, color, and composition. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Spain—particularly in Andalusia—as well as in various national and international exhibitions and competitions.
