Pelikan's Seven Wonders of the World series is a collection of limited edition fountain pens that pays homage to the seven most iconic structures of antiquity. Each pen is meticulously designed to reflect the grandeur and uniqueness of its respective wonder, using high-quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship techniques.
The pens in this series are individually numbered, making them highly coveted collector's items. Production of each model is limited, with quantities varying according to the marvel depicted.
Long before words were printed on paper, the ancient Egyptians carved their history in stone, under the scorching desert sun. There, on the vast plain of Giza, stand the last survivors of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: the Pyramids. Monuments to human ingenuity, to the power of the pharaohs and to the yearning for immortality. Inspired by their eternal grandeur, Pelikan presents a jewel of its tribute series: the Pyramids of Giza, a fountain pen that embodies the soul of Egypt.
This limited edition piece, restricted to only 445 copies worldwide, combines the symbolic richness of Ancient Egypt with the technical refinement of German craftsmanship. The body is lacquered in a sandy-golden hue, evoking the warm tones of the Egyptian dunes at dawn. In contrast, the cap is richly decorated with hieroglyphic engravings, depictions of ancient stories that seem to have been taken from the walls of a Pharaonic tomb.
At the top of the cap, a small three-dimensional pyramid tops the design: a symbol of eternity, of ascension to the afterlife. Everything in this piece refers to the geometric and mystical balance of the original constructions. The barrel rests on a traditional plunger loading system, a subtle reference to continuity and precision, values that transcend the ages.
The hand-engraved 18-karat solid gold nib shows a stylized representation of the pyramids of Giza, as if each stroke that emerges from it traces a line between the present and the past. With each written word, the echo of ancient scribes, pharaohs and gods who reigned over the waters of the Nile is evoked.
The Pelikan Pyramids of Giza is not simply a pen: it is a ceremonial artifact, a written statement of the power of civilization and the as yet unraveled mystery of the ancient world. Like the pyramids themselves, it is destined to endure.
