Omega Constellation "Pie Pan" Chronometer. Ref. 168.005 / Cal. 561 (ca. 1962-1966)
Case in 18K yellow gold. Automatic movement, caliber 561, certified chronometer. Gold dial with applied indexes, dauphine hands and central seconds. Calendar window at 3 o'clock. Fluted crown with signature logo. Plexiglass crystal. Smooth bezel. Screwed case back, decorated with the characteristic Geneva Observatory medallion. Brown leather strap with non-original buckle clasp.
It is presented accompanied by its original Omega case in 925 silver, with visible punches (?, Swiss coat of arms and 0.925), velvety suede with golden logo and original international warranty documentation, printed in Switzerland in 1964.
It works. With slight signs of use.
Measurements: 34 mm (case diameter).
Model belonging to the famous Constellation line of Omega, a symbol of Swiss watchmaking in the sixties and one of the first automatic chronometers in series production with official certification. The "Pie Pan" designation comes from the characteristic faceted design of the dial, which is highly prized among collectors. The set is particularly valuable for preserving both the original silver case and the complete documentation, elements rarely preserved in this type of pieces.
In the description of the watches, when it says "in working order" it means that the watch is in working order. Since collector's watches often have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general service, overhaul, battery change, adjustment or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. Nor do we guarantee its water resistance or water resistance, regardless of what is indicated by the manufacturer or the model. All the photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers, that is to say, we do not work with stock photography and therefore the photographs are considered part of the cataloging.
