The central scene of this Indian fabric transmits us with great simplicity and beauty a central aspect of the Hindu cosmovision. We see different levels of reality crossing the world, from the underwater to the celestial. In the lower one, we find the plant world, with the lotus flowers (with their rich symbolism) presiding over it. Then we find the animal kingdom, with calves, cows and oxen being represented as sacred animals in India. Above this layer, we find a group of young maidens richly adorned, carrying offerings and fans. The top of the crown of two large trees almost touch the sky furrowed with synthetic clouds, the most transcendent level of knowledge.
