Planter with foot from the beginning of the 20th century

Early 20th century footed jardinière.
English Minton glazed ceramic.
Measurements: 34.5 x 34 cm (diameter); 70 x 29 cm (diameter of foot).
Planter made up of two bodies: a base with a circular shaft, slightly wider in the middle part, which sits on a flared base. The upper body consists of a globular drum-shaped pot designed as a goblet. The piece is particularly notable for the careful glazing of the ceramic, emulating the veins of the marble on the cobalt-blue colour, in combination with scenes of children in bas-relief, floral borders and lion masks in a whitish hue.
