The vineyards of Vieux Château Certan are located on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux wine region, and belong to the Pomerol appellation. Like all wines in this appellation, Vieux Château Certan is not classified, although the winery is highly regarded, standing out among other producers in the region, and many equate it with its neighbor, Château Pétrus.
