A painter, musician, poet, and ceramicist, Fidel Bofill studied Fine Arts at the Municipal School of Vic and, later, under the painter Pous-Font. He subsequently honed his artistic skills under the painter Joaquim Asensio. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in various European countries, and has participated in numerous competitions, receiving awards such as the Gold Medals of the City of Vic, Avignon, and Arles; the Silver Medal of Marseille; the Cup of the City of Paris; the Medal of the City of Lavaur; and the “La Pace nel Mondo” Prize. His work is currently represented at the Hispanic Society in New York, the Spanish Embassy in Brussels, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Coral Gables (U.S.), the Museum of Fine Arts in Valencia, the Museums of Contemporary Art in Barcelona and Pretoria, the Dar Si Said Museum in Marrakesh, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Belgium, and the Zabaleta de Quesada Museum, among many other important museums and collections.
