DESCRIPTION
Display case featuring an archaeological collection.
Wood and glass.
It contains a diverse collection of small figurines, heads, fragments, and other objects, made primarily of terracotta and stone.
In good overall condition, with signs of wear consistent with its age.
Display case measurements: 105 x 42 x 27 cm.
The display case features a narrow, vertical structure, glazed on the front and sides, and organized with glass shelves, following the model of display furniture designed for collection cabinets. Its understated design, topped by a molded cornice, draws attention to the objects displayed inside.
The collection brings together numerous small-scale pieces of diverse character, including anthropomorphic figurines, heads, sculptural fragments, and vessels. Works in terracotta and stone predominate, and their formal language links them to various pre-Columbian cultures, although the collection also includes pieces of different types and origins. Due to its heterogeneous nature, it is particularly representative of the collector’s taste for the archaeology and arts of ancient cultures.
