This 1000% version marks the conclusion of the collection created by BAPE and Medicom Toy to celebrate the Japanese brand’s 28th anniversary, and features a large-scale reimagining of one of the designs that had appeared as secret variants in the series’ four previous releases. BAPE officially launched these 400% and 1000% models on December 25, 2021, as the culmination of the project developed throughout that year.

Design #3 features different color variations of the signature BAPE CAMO across various parts of the figure, transforming the BE@RBRICK’s segmented structure into a showcase of the brand’s graphic language. The large “28” on the torso directly references the anniversary, while the Ape Head—the central emblem of A Bathing Ape—appears on the back. The 1000% scale, designed with a nominal height of approximately 70 cm, accentuates the sculptural and display-oriented nature of a collaboration situated at the intersection of streetwear, design, and contemporary collecting. BAPE itself presented this final edition as a collection specifically aimed at both its followers and BE@RBRICK collectors.

Founded in Harajuku in 1993, A Bathing Ape became one of the cornerstone brands of Japanese streetwear, building a visual identity based on motifs such as BAPE CAMO, Ape Head, BAPE STA, and Baby Milo. Its long-standing collaboration with Medicom Toy has repeatedly adapted these design elements to the BE@RBRICK format, making these editions one of the most recognizable points of convergence between streetwear and collectibles.
