A pair of oil lamps with an elegant ornamental design, created for interior lighting and to suit the decorative tastes of the early 20th century. They feature celadon-green bodies, embellished with floral motifs, and opaline glass shades with a flared silhouette that diffuse light softly and evenly. The combination of colored and opaline glass, together with the metal support elements, lends the set a remarkable richness of color and form.
The oil lamps underwent a significant evolution during the 19th century, when improvements in oil and kerosene lighting systems spurred the creation of increasingly sophisticated models, designed both as light sources and as ornamental elements.
