This work by Don Fink reflects his connection to Abstract Expressionism and European Informalism, movements that shaped his artistic career. Don Fink was an American painter associated with lyrical abstraction and Abstract Expressionism. He trained at the Art Students League of New York and the Académie Julian in Paris, where he became part of the postwar art scene. In 1977, he settled in Barcelona, maintaining an intense international exhibition schedule. His work is represented in institutions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. In 1998, he was the subject of a retrospective exhibition at the Rayuela Gallery in Madrid.
