The Bottega Veneta Double Knot Mini bag was introduced during Daniel Lee’s creative tenure at the helm of the Italian brand, which began in 2018. Its design draws inspiration from one of the house’s historic hallmarks: the knot motif, which has become a distinctive feature of its leather goods.
The inspiration for this design stems from the iconic Knot Bag, a rounded clutch created in the late 1970s. In 2001, designer Tomas Maier reinterpreted this model with a small leather knot closure, giving its name to a piece that would become one of Bottega Veneta’s most recognizable designs. Since then, the motif has been revisited in numerous versions and collections.
