The Cuir Triomphe Oval Purse reflects a contemporary reinterpretation of the historic codes of Celine, the Parisian house founded by Céline Vipiana in 1945. Its design revives the iconic Triomphe motif, one of the brand’s most recognizable symbols, whose history dates back to 1971, when its founder found inspiration in the links of the chains surrounding the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. This motif, which has become an emblem of the house, was revived and reinterpreted by Hedi Slimane upon his arrival as creative director in 2018.
