In pink quilted patent leather. Features a long top handle made of chain and interwoven leather. Flap closure and a flat pocket on the back. Interior lined in matching leather, with pockets, one of which has a zipper. Silver-colored hardware.

The 2.55 holds a pivotal place in the history of women’s accessories. With it, Gabrielle Chanel introduced an innovative solution: a chain strap that allowed the bag to be carried over the shoulder, freeing up the hands and breaking away from the conventions of traditional handbags.
In 2005, Karl Lagerfeld revived the original design to mark its 50th anniversary, giving rise to the Reissue line. This reinterpretation preserved distinctive elements such as the quilting, the metal chain, and the rectangular clasp, differing from the Classic Flap in the absence of the CC logo on the clasp. The 2014–2015 version continues this tradition of stylistic continuity. Its WOC format scales down the proportions of the historic design and adapts its aesthetic to a more casual and versatile use. The piece retains the identity of the 2.55 but incorporates functionality similar to that of small leather goods, allowing it to be used both during the day and for evening occasions.
