Sculpture, 1930s.
Gilded bronze, marble base.
Measurements: 18 x 13 cm.
A rectangular base in dark, veined marble has hallmarks that contrast with and highlight the female figure, cast in partially gilded bronze. The woman is semi-nude, draped with a cloth at the waist that hangs down her outstretched leg, while the other is drawn up to create a sense of movement; she leans forward to follow the line that ends at her head, which is turned toward one of her arms, in which she holds some flowers, matching those in the hand resting on her knee.
