TRES was a prominent Catalan conceptual artist, performer, and experimental musician. His work revolved obsessively and poetically around the concept of silence, the absence of sound, and the limits of language.
He created iconic artistic interventions known as Silent Actions, exploring the renunciation of the voice, auditory emptiness, and the presence of the inert object. In his visual art, he embraced formal restraint, combining wood, pure geometric shapes (squares, circles, cones), and an almost hermetic graphic symbolism.
He had close ties to the musical and sound avant-garde movements, actively participating in the experimental music and performance art scenes in Spain.
