Aurus 2000, produced by Miguel Ángel de Gregorio at Finca Allende (Briones, Rioja Alta), is one of the iconic wines of the Rioja winemaking renaissance of the late 20th century. Sourced from old vineyards and aged in French oak, it features a concentrated and structured profile, with notes of ripe black fruit, licorice, spices, cocoa, and balsamic undertones. This vintage allows one to appreciate the evolution of this limited-production wine, which is of particular interest to collectors of contemporary Rioja wines.
