Château Angélus, 1996. Saint-Émilion Grand Cru AOC, Bordeaux, France. Premier Grand Cru Classé.
Red wine.
3 bottles of 75 cl.
Condition: IN (Into Neck) level on all three bottles. Original red capsules, intact, featuring the estate’s coat of arms and the Angélus bell in relief. Original labels are complete and legible. One of the bottles has a slight defect located at the bottom of the label.
It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions.
Château Angélus 1996 belongs to a notable period in the estate’s history under the direction of Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, when it established itself as one of Saint-Émilion’s leading wines. Its blend, dominated by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, expresses the character of the appellation’s clay-limestone soils. The 1996 vintage offers a classic profile, with firm structure and remarkable complexity, featuring notes of black fruit, cedar, tobacco, spices, and underbrush. A Saint-Émilion with mature character and of particular interest to collectors of great Bordeaux vintages.
