Château Ausone 1981 is a red wine from Saint-Émilion, on the right bank of Bordeaux, produced by one of the appellation’s most prestigious historic estates. The château held the Premier Grand Cru Classé A classification in the historic Saint-Émilion classification. Its vineyards, located on the limestone slopes near the town, are known for their emphasis on the Cabernet Franc and Merlot grape varieties. The 1981 vintage, presented in two Magnum bottles, is a format particularly prized among collectors of fine Bordeaux wines.
