Its vineyards, situated on deep Médoc gravel, produce wines dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, renowned for their firm tannic structure, balance, and longevity. The 1990 vintage, noted for its ripeness and concentration, offers a particularly robust expression of the estate’s character. After decades of aging in the bottle, it may display notes of blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco, leather, spices, and forest floor, while retaining the austere and distinguished character typical of great traditional Saint-Juliens.
