Comes in a wooden box from the winery marked “Único 1998.” Opened for inspection.
The Wine Advocate 98/100; Vinous 96/100; James Suckling 96/100.
Condition: Levels: 6 IN (Into Neck), with slight variations in height. Front labels complete and legible, with stains, brown mottling, and scuffing of varying intensity. Commercial and Regulatory Council back labels are legible, with stains and superficial wear. Bordeaux capsules are intact, with slight scuffing.
From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions.
Único embodies Vega Sicilia’s tradition of extended aging, rooted in the Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards of its estate. Its prolonged aging in oak and in the bottle is an essential part of its identity. This lot comprises six bottles from the 1998 vintage, individually numbered and accompanied by a wooden box marked with the same vintage.
