Handmade Spanish knotted rug with a beige field with a Carlos IV style decoration, based on a geometric design with simplified vegetal ornaments. The piece presents a symmetrical design with a field structured in three differentiated areas, the central one being the largest. It has a single band with scallops and acanthus leaves, as well as reserved areas in the corners differentiated by color.
The Fernandez is the result of the union of two workers of the Royal Tapestry Factory of Madrid. In 1901 they started their business in Chamberí, founding a loom and in 1930, they opened their first store.
