Hamadan rug, Iran, 1960-70.
Hand-knotted in wool. It has a purple field decorated with geometric and synthesized vegetal motifs, forming a row of alternating counterpointed medallions, only the central ones being complete. The border is composed of two bands, decorated with borders with motifs similar to those of the field. Complementary colors: white, red, pink, maroon, blue, orange and beige.
Measurements: 290 x 75 cm.
