Hand knotted wool rug, manufactured in Iran. It consists of a red field with a central medallion of foliated profile and with a profusion of vegetal motifs forming a dynamic and colorful composition in the four corners. Scrolls, flowers, borders and counterpoints in different shades of blue, green, yellow, ochre and red cover the corners and are repeated with variations in the bands of the border. The border is composed of three bands: two thinner ones with the same fine scrolls, although more simplified, and another wider one with large colored lampshades.
