BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
Mei Ping type vase; Jingdezhen, China, late Qing dynasty - early Republic, early 20th century.
Glazed porcelain.
With mark on the base.
Measurements: 18 x 8,5 cm.
Mei Ping type vase decorated with underglaze cobalt blue glaze, with mark on the base alluding to Jingdezhen, the main ceramic center in the history of China. It follows models of the past, and presents a mythical figurative scene in the central area, as a frieze, brushed in a style reminiscent of ink painting.
