The Cliquetis scarf was designed by Julia Abadie in 1972 and has been reissued several times. Its design is inspired by ancient military elements, representing objects such as sabers, belts, keys, anchors and fanfares, arranged in a fan-shaped composition. The term "Cliquetis" refers to the metallic sound of these objects clashing together.
