The Abbey Convertible Tote is part of a very specific stage in the history of Gucci design, when the house bet on functional and recognizable luxury, but without excesses. This model was born in the early 2000s, under the creative direction of Frida Giannini, at a time when Gucci was seeking to consolidate its more classic identity after the provocative era of Tom Ford.
