The Jige model was created in 1965 by Robert Dumas, then creative director of Hermès and member of the founding family, in response to the need for a flat, elegant and functional bag to complement both day and evening outfits. Its minimalist design, with no visible clasps and a clean line, quickly made it an icon of timeless sophistication. The Hermès Clutch Jige Elan is a modern reinterpretation of this classic.
