The Panthère C de Cartier bag represents one of the most elegant contemporary reinterpretations of one of the historical symbols of the maison: the panther. Since the beginning of the 20th century, this animal has become a true visual emblem of Cartier. The figure of the panther appeared for the first time in the firm's jewelry designs around 1914 and achieved enormous relevance thanks to the close collaboration between the house and Jeanne Toussaint, Cartier's creative director since the thirties, known precisely as "La Panthère".
