Cabinet of oriental manufacture although destined to the European market. Following the form and the molded decoration of the baroque cabinet in its classicist aspect, this 18th century furniture presents mixed influences that give it originality. Rising on cabriole legs and balled claw feet on a double-drawer waist, the piece opens with two doors that shelter two shelves. The undulating and slightly overhanging finial, ornamented with gilded fillets arranged in grooves, gives architectural inspiration to the whole. This is a piece of oriental manufacture, as can be seen in the fine synthetic carving on the legs. It is worth noting that while in Europe cabriole legs were at their peak in the 18th century, in China, this typology had been adopted since ancient times and was later adopted by the rococo. The two drawers of the waist are molded with gilded fillets, drawing harmonious symmetries between them.
