Hand-knotted rug in 100% wool on cotton warps and wefts.woven in north central China, Ningshia or Ningxia, a town near Mongolia and very close to the Yellow River, and is hand-knotted with an asymmetrical knot and with a density close to 100,000 knots/m2.This small rug seems to have its own light. This is due to the fact that in this region of China a very strong and at the same time very lustrous wool was obtained. That is why despite the years and the use it has had, you can appreciate the brightness of the wool that gives it aesthetic strength and color.On the other hand, the strength of this carpet is given by its yellow and ochre tones and its motifs and framing of the borders in an intense blue, which are two very characteristic features of the ancient Chinese carpets of this region.wear areas and different pile heights are appreciated.
