DESCRIPTION

Asa; Rome, I-II centuries B.C.
Bronze.
Measurements: 14 x 4 x 1 cm.
Solid handle, probably belonging to a bronze oinochoe. The piece made to the wax loss is decorated with central ribbed ribbing and lower attachment with amphora and palmette with scrolls.
The oinochoe is a type of Greek pottery used to remove the wine from the crater, where it has been watered, before serving. It is characterized by having a single handle, and is classified according to the shape of the mouth and belly.
