The piece presented here is a bolsal cup or kylix, a Greek ceramic typology of wine drinking vessel, characterized by a relatively shallow and wide body raised on a foot, with two symmetrically arranged handles. It was mainly used in symposiums, since its shape allowed drinking while reclining, as was done at banquets. It is decorated with the technique of red figures.
