Anthropomorphic figurine in terracotta belonging to the sculptural tradition of Colima, characterized by its direct and expressive formal language. The figure, standing and frontal, presents schematic features and robust proportions, with emphasis on the torso and extremities, following the canons of this culture.
The treatment of the face stands out, with a hieratic expression, as well as the ornamental elements - headdress, necklace and applications on the shoulders - that suggest a particular status or ritual function. This type of piece is usually associated with funerary contexts, where it fulfilled a symbolic role linked to the identity, protection or representation of the individual.
The surface preserves a homogeneous archaeological patina, with slight irregularities typical of its age.
