As we can see in the specimen in bidding, Quim Tarrida operates in the subtle limit that exists between the playful component of the simulacrum of the children's toy and the war artifact, showing the fragile frontier between both realities.
A multidisciplinary artist, Quim Tarrida works with neo-pop and the legacy of conceptual art. His career began in the 80s in the field of drawing and comics, where he developed his own conceptual universe, known as Mundo Subcutáneo. In addition to his production linked to performance and music, Tarrida produces photographic, pictorial, video and sculptural works that explore lost childhood, showing a fascination for toys, the organic and the comic. Recently, his work has turned towards contemporary music and sound action, highlighting his concerts in which he integrates electronic musical toys.
