DESCRIPTION

Boat in the shape of a dragon. China, 20th century.
Bone.
Measurements: 64 x 110 x 22 cm.

The structure of the tender boat takes the form of a fierce scaled dragon with a half-open mouth and flaming tail. Its upper part is crowned by three finely carved imperial pagodas housing the figures of the emperor and his court. It is a finely carved composition, attentive to detail in each of its parts.
