Patinated bronze.
Measurements: 10,5 x 4 x 3 cm.
Bronze statue of the Hindu goddess Parvati. This deity is the wife of the god Shiva and is known as the mother goddess of Hinduism. Parvati embodies the divine feminine energy (Shakti) and the benign aspect of the Mother Goddess Devi. Her union with Shiva symbolizes the cosmic balance of masculine and feminine energies. She is considered the mother of the Hindu deities Ganesha and Kartikeya.
The treatment of the bronze reveals a meticulous and devotional work, with a patina that evidences the passage of time and ritual use. More than a simple ornamental piece, this sculpture was conceived as an object of domestic worship, intended to promote meditation and spiritual meditation.
