The Jodie is one of the most iconic bags from Bottega Veneta’s new generation of designs and a benchmark of contemporary luxury. Introduced in 2020 under the creative direction of Daniel Lee, the model reinterprets the historic intrecciato weave—the Italian house’s hallmark since the late 1960s—through a soft, sculptural silhouette of great formal purity. Its most distinctive feature is the leather knot that connects the handle to the body of the bag—a detail that gives the model its name. In keeping with the brand’s tradition, this name refers to actress Jodie Foster, who was photographed using a Bottega Veneta bag to hide from photographers, creating an iconic image.
