Painter, draftsman and engraver, Estrada Vilarrasa began his training at the Municipal School of Drawing in Vic, and later completed his studies in Tarragona. He has exhibited regularly since 1970, and his exhibitions include those held at the Korda Garden State Gallery in Warsaw, the Contemporary Art Gallery of the University of Tel Aviv, the National Museum of Slovenia in Ljubljana and the National Gallery of the Buda Castle in Budapest. An excellent watercolorist, his landscapes stand out especially, characterized by their vaporous atmospheres. He has also made illustrations for books. In 1983 he was appointed member of the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi, and four years later of the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid. He has obtained the Medal of Honor in the National Competition of the Agrupación de Acuarelistas (1976) and the National Medal XX LAT TPSP of Poland (1981). He is represented in the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, as well as in numerous private collections.
